The week back after a weeklong break is always the hardest, but it’s time to power on the second half of the year! The weather has gotten almost unbearable for a lot of us, with the heat showing no signs of toning down, so it’s only apt that everyone dresses for comfort. Despite that, some of you showed us the best of both worlds, combining comfort without compromising style.
Jane-Menn Cheong | 2nd Year Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) | Malaysia
When Jane told me the most expensive item on her was her shoes and not those amazing flared denims, I was stunned. Styled with simplicity in mind, she pulls this off effortlessly. The flare cut of her denims paired with a cropped tee adds height, while the black Airs pop out in this light-palleted outfit. Our Style Editor has definitely got minimalistic chic down with this look.

Mira Hanafiah | Malaysia | Foundation in Business
I absolutely admire Mira’s bold choice to pair a clash of patterns. One would never think to wear a playful multi-coloured printed top with a sophisticated houndstooth mini, but it definitely works on her. The half-tucked style ties this outfit together, making it the perfect go-to campus outfit altogether.

Whoever said wearing bomber jackets in this Malaysian heat was ridiculous, have obviously not been in a UNMC lecture hall. I think jackets are extremely practical for classes, acting as a shield from the cold but also play a big part in jazzing up an outfit. The sheen from the jacket paired with the mattes of her palazzos adds a bit of edginess to the outfit. And they look incredibly comfortable, too.
