Candidate: Muhammad Faraz Khalid, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Faraz stated that since he was already a part of the Education Network (EN), he is very well prepared for this job. He addressed the fact that students find it inconvenient not knowing whether or not there were computers available in the TCR or the Core. His solution was to establish tracking systems on each computer.
When asked how he would implement this initiative, he mentioned the TCR tracking system was already on the verge of being put up. So if/when he got elected, he could start working on it in full-force. When asked about what he would do for the other courses (outside the Engineering departments on campus) by a postgraduate student, he stated that he would take the same initiative he did while serving as School Representative for the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Surveys would be used to identify the issues in a particular course, and to find a solution for the problems. When asked by the same student whether he planned to expand the EN, Faraz stated that the EN already had enough people and the current number has helped it function stably.
