1. MALAYSIA: In attempts to create a peaceful Malaysia, former minister in the Prime Minister’s department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim is launching a Malay portal to counter racial & religious extremism.


2. LIBYA: IS continues its attack, this time killing 40 people in al-Qubbah; targeting a petrol & police station as well the home of a parliamentary speaker.


3. INDIA: Deadly swine flu outbreak kills more than 700 people.


4. DUBAI: Fire razed the 79 storey Dubai Marina Torch, one of the world’s tallest residential buildings.


5. US & UK intelligence agencies have been accused of hacking into a major manufacturer of sim cards to access codes therefore facilitating eavesdropping on mobile calls.
